Skin Tightening
It involves tightening and toning lax skin on the face and body.

With non-surgical skin tightening, we can effectively tighten moderately lax or skin on the face, neck and body, helping patients improve their appearance. The procedure entails using targeted energy to heat deeper layers of skin, which stimulates collagen and elastin production and gradually improves skin tone and texture. At Avane, we use the US FDA approved Alma Laser Accent system to effectively treat the stubborn skin. See www.accentyourbody.com for further details.

Stretchmark Treatment

Using a combination of Microneedling, Platelet Rich Plasma Therapy, Mesotherapy and advanced creams and lotions, our solutions will help lighten away the stretch marks you so badly want to go away.

Thread Lifting & Platelet Rich Plasma Therapy/Vampire Lift

A thread lift is a type of procedure wherein temporary sutures are used to produce a subtle but visible “lift” in the skin. Instead of removing the patient’s loose facial skin surgically, the cosmetic surgeon simply suspends it by stitching up portions of it. It gives you a more youthful look.

Collagen helps support “growth factors” that greatly influences the condition of our skin. In addition to being used for wound healing, collagen helps to keep our skin strong, voluminous and supple. As we get older, our bodies gradually produce less and less collagen, which leads to an 80% reduction in skin thickness by about age 70. This loss of volume and strength is a large factor in the creation of excess skin and wrinkles. As the skin grows weaker, it’s no longer able to support the tissues beneath it adequately, meaning that gravity pulls it downwards and stretches it. Infusing the skin of the face with fresh collagen when the signs of skin laxity are still mild can help to both reduce looseness (by thickening and hydrating the skin) and prevent it from getting worse (by strengthening the skin).

In other words, this process provides ongoing and progressive rejuvenation for the facial tissues. Patients who have a thread lift for the purpose of stimulating collagen will notice a gradual improvement in their skin’s tone and firmness. While their threads are in place, the body’s healing response will be constantly activated because the body will want to “heal” the sutured areas and expel the sutures. The body is biologically programmed to react this way when it senses any foreign object present within the dermis. Fortunately, because the threads placed under the skin during a thread lift are so small, the patient will not feel any of this happening. Most people cannot feel their sutures at all once the skin has healed around them.

Platelet Rich Plasma Therapy/Vampire Lift

This entails drawing blood from any part of your body and inject the platelets to an injured/damaged part to stimulate fast healing/reconstruction. Works well for injuries, wrinkles (anti-aging), acne, scars e The vampire facial, also known as the platelet-rich plasma (PRP) facial, includes drawing blood from your arm, separating the platelets, and then injecting them into your skin via microneedling.

The doctor runs the needle pen over your face while squirting the platelets into the mini injection holes. Since the platelets are high in growth hormone, and the microneedling stimulates the skin to regenerate, the entire procedure is meant to aid cell turnover etc.

Fat Transfer & Grafting

This is a procedure that improves the body’s contours and proportion by removing fat from one or more areas and injecting the fat into another area to add volume and reshape specific areas of the body.

It helps you defy ageing and helps you achieve the youthful outlook you desire. Fat grafting, also called fat transfer, plumps up facial or body features with a patient’s own fat. Fat transfer is designed to minimize wrinkles and fill in parts of the face or body with a “sunken” appearance. It can also reduce scarring and correct deformities. Since fat transfer uses your own fat cells, there is no risk of the body rejecting the tissue.

Skin Lightening/Glow

At Avane, we use safe and effective skin lightening treatments using Glutathione. Glutathione is a power anti-oxidant produced by our liver. Anti-oxidants act by reducing the waste products (oxygen free radicals) of the body. Accumulation of oxygen-free radicals result in premature ageing and increase the incidence of cancer.

Glutathione has been used worldwide in patients undergoing chemotherapy for cancer, and people have also started taking it for its varying other benefits. At high doses, glutathione inhibits an enzyme called tyrosinase; tyrosinase is important in the production of skin color, and by inhibiting this, glutathione can help with skin lightening. It works slower than the other ‘bleaching’ products on the market, but without the side effects of uneven (de)pigmentation and skin atrophy/thinning.

Skin Refining & Rejuvenation

Skin Refining & Rejuvenation Clear, radiant and firm skin has been one of the most important determinants of beauty throughout history and can now be accessible to all. Avané Cosmetic Dermatology Clinic and Medical Spa offer a wide range of skin refining solutions designed for the face, neck and chest to firm-up loose skin, treat uneven skin tone, pigmentation, lines, wrinkles, acne, acne scars and skin laxity.

Hair Loss, Balding & Hair Transplants

Hair loss, or alopecia, can occur as a result of ageing, genetic predisposition, medications or underlying medical conditions. It can affect men and women of all ages. Individuals may lose hair in patterned baldness, patchy spots or thinned hair. Hair loss is a frequent cause of frustration, embarrassment and even severe emotional distress for individuals who suffer from it, so treatment of the condition may become a psychological, if not a medical, necessity.

Fortunately, while many people are forced to deal with hair loss and for some, it may be a permanent condition, there are several treatments available to disguise hair loss or to promote hair growth. Depending upon the location and extent of the hair loss, wigs and hairpieces may be suitable options. In other cases, treatments to promote the growth of hair through the use of medication, ultraviolet light therapy, or hair transplantation may prove to be effective solutions.

Hair Transplants

Customized treatment plans for individual patients using the latest techniques and technology make it possible to successfully compensate for thinning hair or baldness. During a hair transplant, thin strips of skin containing hair are taken from the back of the scalp and placed in tiny holes in the bald or thinned area. The grafted hair falls out after the procedure but then grows back and should last as long as the hair from the area in which it was taken.

Hydrafacial & Chemical Peel

Hydrafacial

HydraFacial treatments combine relaxing spa therapies with medical technology to safely rejuvenate the skin. First, the skin is exfoliated and cleansed with a small tool, followed by a gentle acid peel to remove any remaining debris in the pores. Next, the pores undergo a painless extraction process. Finally, the skin is nourished with an antioxidant-rich serum.

HydraFacial treatments usually take about 15 minutes to complete and do not require any downtime. After just one treatment, many patients report seeing visible skin refinement, which can be maintained by using HydraFacial Daily Essential skin products at home or with monthly in-office HydraFacial treatments.

This treatment improves the appearance of fine lines, wrinkles, congested and enlarged pores, oily or acne-prone skin, hyperpigmentation and brown spots. More information available at www.hydrafacialmd.com

Chemical Peel

A chemical peel is a solution made of chemicals that may help the skin’s appearance improve. It may be used to reduce wrinkling, blemishes, scarring, acne, and many other conditions. There are three different types of chemical peels, ranging from mild to strong. The chemical peel works by exfoliating the face then ultimately peeling away over time.

What Does Each Chemical Peel Do?

The chemicals in the three different peels set one peel apart from another. The mild chemical peel uses alphahydroxy acid (AHA) to get through the first layer of your skin by gently exfoliating and improving appearance. The moderate peel used a slightly stronger acid called trichloroacetic acid (TCA) to improve any discoloration and exfoliate into the middle layers of the skin. The strong peel uses Phenol to reduce wrinkles, moderate lines, freckles, and scarring. The skin will exfoliate over time and reveal the new, improved skin.

What Is A Chemical Peel Treatment Like?

The treatment may start with the licensed esthetician applying a barrier around certain areas, like the mouth and eyes. Your face will be  so that the chemical will be able to better penetrate your skin. The peel will be applied all over the face, and you may feel a tingling sensation. The peel will sit while air is blown on your face to aid the peel’s drying process. After a certain amount of time has passed (which will vary from one patient to another), the peel will be washed away with water. After the peel is removed, the esthetician will inform you of the aftercare for your face.

What Are The Side Effects Of Applying Chemicals On My Face?

The side effects depend on which peel you decide is best for you. With the mild peel, you may experience redness or scaling for anywhere from 1-7 days. With the moderate chemical peel, you may experience redness, swelling, and blisters may occur. With the strong peel, the treated area will need to be bandaged with possible eye swelling, a tingling or throbbing sensation, scabbing, and stinging. Skin color change, scarring, and cold sores may also occur.

What Can Prevent You From Being A Candidate For A Chemical Peel?

Chemical peels work best for those who are fair skinned and or fair haired. Those who are pregnant, nursing, have a skin condition (such as eczema or psoriasis), those who are taking isotretinoin (otherwise referred to as Accutane), or those who have used any skin lightening products with 48 hours of the treatment.

What Can I Expect After A Chemical Peel?

After a chemical, one may be able to expect reduced or erased wrinkles, freckles, scarring, and dark spots. In addition, you may see a more even skin tone. After the peel, you may find that your skin is sensitive to the sun. Your skin may need to be soaked, and the skin may be more tender to the touch than prior to the peel.
